Generating a public here is a little harder than other sites (like Twitter), since here's no algorithm - all the support you may recieve comes from the quality you offer, as a content creator (of any kind), or else from your level of interaction, with the community.
That's why being "constant" is the key, and the most important thing - slacking off won't really help you, if you ever want to grow as an artist. Try to be a little more active on the site (without burning yourself out, of course), socialize with other users, collaborate with other artists, and you'll see that things will start to change, for the better.
(Also, avoid focusing too much on the "digits and visibility" topic - believe me, that mindset will end up being unhealthy for you, sooner or later, so it's better not thinking about it.)
